How do conversation club classes work?

At each lesson we discuss a certain topic, which is announced in advance.
Shortly before the class you receive a list of words and actual phrases on the topic, which will help you to build a real conversation. 
An important feature of our conversation club: 
 • From class to class we improve our knowledge of German and enrich our vocabulary with current vocabulary . Using popular phrases and modern expressions, you can learn to speak German fluently and confidently. 
 • Every student takes part in the discussion, even the most silent one.
In class:
 • we communicate in an easy and relaxed way;
 • we get rid of the fear of communication;
 • we get a lot of positive emotions from communicating in German.

What level is the conversation club designed for?

Accepted Answer

The Conversation Club is suitable from A1 to C1. It’s not intended for complete beginners, as you should already know some basic vocabulary. It’s also ideal for advanced learners who understand German well but want to become more fluent, confident, and natural when speaking.

How long does one class last?

When will I get a link to Zoom?

After you register, you’ll receive an email with all the details, including your Zoom link and everything you need to know before your first session.

Can I switch to a different conversation group?

Yes, you can request to switch to a different group. Please contact us directly with your request, and we will help you find a group that suits your level or preferred schedule.

How does the recurring automatic payment work?

When you subscribe to our Conversation Club, your payment will be automatically charged on a monthly basis. This ensures uninterrupted access to all scheduled sessions and materials. The first week is completely free — no payment is charged during this trial period, and your subscription only begins if you decide to continue afterward.

When will I be charged?

You won’t be charged during your free first week. After the trial, your payment will be processed on the same day each month, starting from your subscription date.

How do I cancel my subscription?

To cancel your subscription, log in to your account, go to the subscription settings, and select "Cancel Subscription." Alternatively, you can contact us directly, and we’ll assist you with the cancellation process.

Can I cancel my subscription at any time?

Yes, you can cancel your subscription at any time. If you cancel, you’ll still have access to the club until the end of your current billing cycle.

Can I pause my subscription instead of canceling it?

Accepted Answer

Yes, we offer the option to pause your subscription. This allows you to take a break and resume when you’re ready without losing your spot in the club.

Can I switch to a different payment method?

Yes, you can update your payment method at any time through your account settings.

What happens if my payment fails?

If your payment fails, we will notify you via email. You’ll need to update your payment details within 7 days to maintain your subscription.

Will I receive a refund if I cancel mid-month?

No, refunds are not provided for partial months. However, you will continue to have access to the club until the end of your current billing period.

What happens if I miss a club session or want to take a break?

Accepted Answer

Club sessions can be paused if you’re away for 2 weeks or longer. Shorter breaks aren’t possible, as the club runs on a regular schedule.
If you miss a single club session, it isn’t refunded.  But you can always ask for the session recording.
If you have Membership Extra, you’ll still receive the PDF with vocabulary and materials, even if you can’t attend the session.

How much does a conversation club subscription cost and is there a trial class?

We offer two Conversation Club memberships.

1) The Basic Membership costs 72 CHF per month and includes one guided conversation session per week of 90 minutes in a small group of your level with a German conversation coach. This means the price per session of 90 minutes is 18 CHF.
2) The Membership Extra costs 99 CHF per month and also includes one weekly 90-minute session, plus access to a weekly PDF with vocabulary and materials related to the topic. This comes to ≈25 CHF per session, including the additional materials.
Trial week
Your first week is free. When you register, you’ll be asked for payment details, but you’ll only be charged one week after your start date. If you decide the club isn’t right for you, simply cancel during the trial week and you won’t be charged.

Can I pay for my friend by giving them a subscription to a conversation club?

Can the organization pay for me?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Your employer or organization can pay for your course. We provide official invoices with all required details, which you can submit for reimbursement or direct payment.

Question 19

How can I reserve my spot and when do I need to make payment?

Accepted Answer

You can reserve your spot by registering online and selecting your preferred start date. This secures your place in the group.

When you register, you’ll be asked for your payment details, but no payment is taken immediately. You’ll only be charged one week after your selected start date. This also means you can use the first week as a trial and cancel during that time without being charged.
